Day #3

Evening, a super quick post today because my Flatmate Katherine is waiting to do my make up...for Halloween, don't panic Nan. Today was spent preparing for my girlfriend Becca's birthday. Oh yeah, that's another thing, I have a girlfriend. I met her at uni but she lives in roughly the same town as me. My mum calls it destiny but I think I was just too busy writing the last project 365 to meet her.

(I'm a prisoner by the way)

Until tomorrow, it's party time

Day #2

Hello the beautiful people of the interweb. Today is day number 2 of this insanely confusing journey.

Already I am inspired by everything around me. A walk round campus made me realise why I fell in love with photography - The challenges to overcome, the imagination to capture and the difficult tripod to set up in the freezing cold. There is one thing that I have noticed in the two years since my last project 365 and that is my willingness to get my camera out. I saw hundreds of photos that I would have loved to have snapped today but didn't because I was worried what others might think. I have to improve on this and I think that it's a key skill. But hey, there are 363 more days to improve.

Today's photo is the university's reception. I took it because it lends itself well to an effects mode on my camera which singles out only one colour from the photo. Aberystwyth loves the colour yellow.

Tomorrow is party night. It's a halloween/birthday party that my girlfriend and her flat are organising (It's her and her flatmate's birthday on Sunday). I will try and take a photo of my costume tomorrow and will keep it a surprise.

Until then

Will :)

Day #1

Hi there. I did a blog 2 and a quarter years ago. You won't remember me but if you do, welcome back! Try to ignore the photo, just for a minute or two. I am 18, I'm at the University of Aberystwyth, studying English and Creative writing and I am loving it. The scenery is amazing, it needs to be captured by a camera and framed by a lens. I feel like this is a crazily exciting part of my life and I want to document every day of it. For those of you groaning right now (Stop what you're doing, this is a family blog), this will not be another project 365 that fizzles out after a few days. I have set up a daily reminder at exactly 11 minutes past 1 o' clock to tell me to write a post that day. I will carry my camera everywhere!

Okay, so today's photo is of 2/7 other people that I live with. Both Welsh, both nice enough guys. Tom ( the one on the right) doesn't usually wear an Oompa Loompa outfit - tonight just happens to be his Halloween football social. Yes, face paint really did make him this colour.

Until tomorrow

Will :)
