Happy 100th day! I can't believe you're still reading but hey-ho. Last night was the korfball social, it was a little bit mad. Starting off with a drink at the union, it soon escalated to shots, more shots and weird cocktails. By the end, everyone loved everyone and taxis were needed. This morning I needed these paracetamol as one was feeling a little bit fragile, but hey ho, it's all part of joining a sport society. After a couple of hours recovery, I had a seminar followed by korfball, followed by a seminar. Tonight I'll take it easy, pizza night may be calling me. Tomorrow I have a workshop for a piece of poetry I (we) have written, I'll post it below, we were asked to think about our national feel of identity and to just write solidly.
The sea, rolling in,
Pulling away at the
white cliffs,
Pulling away Sunday
lunch,
Pulling at the
thread of your duffle coat,
Watching as Sunday
league falls to the sea,
We'll meet again,
Don't know when,
In a pub probably,
A bull dog beside a
bull-man,
Drinking white
lightnight,
Being sick in the
street,
Arrested for pissing
in a disused phone box,
Sheltering from the
wind,
Blowing the page 3
of the Sun,
Blocking out the
moon,
Shining down on the
teens,
Throwing rocks at a
fire engine,
Rocks making up our
once great nation,
Until tomorrow
Will :)
